Angela Easby

Re•Vision Digital Storytelling Facilitator

Angela Easby is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Social Practice and Transformational Change program at the University of Guelph, under the supervision of Dr. Kim Anderson. Angela is Métis and Anishinaabe on her mother’s side, and a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario with ancestral ties to Treaty 3 territory in northwestern Ontario. She grew up in central Ontario. Her PhD research focuses on Anishinaabemowin revitalization and mobility. She is an Anishinaabemowin learner, a runner, and a beadwork artist.

Angela is grateful for the many teachers, mentors, and community members along the way who have taught her about working with urban Indigenous communities to do good, ethical research that is grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing. Aapiji nimiigwechiwendam. She continues to learn.

Angela holds a M.A in Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria and a B.A in Globalization from Huron University at Western.
